I had an itch that could only be scratched by a small, beauty, full of potential. The most desirable obsession of my dreams. She was out there waiting for me to find her. . . and I was definitely in the market. By late 2006, I had perused every square inch of available real estate in the entire North Georgia Mountain area. But of all the mugshots in all the freebie real estate catalogs and all the cheezy websites I visited, I simply could not get one place, in particular, out of my mind. She was small, abandoned and had been on the market for over two years. She needed work, time, money and a vision. Vision I had. She oozed potential and had all the right things in all the right places. She had location times three. I knew I could turn her life and lots of other heads around at the same time! It was as if it I had stepped back 60 years and I was Howard Hughes and she was Norma Jean Mortenson!
After the massive makeover which included quite a bit of reconstruction and a lot of cosmetic surgery, our Norma Jean was reborn as "Three Bear Barn". Our "Marilyn Monroe" of the Blue Ridge Mountains, rests on top of a summit surrounded by captivating views, abundant wildlife, grand artistries of nature and is now one of our proudest productions!
